INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup plant-based milk
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup plant-based butter

- 1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped
- pinch of cayenne pepper

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Stir vinegar into milk and set aside for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to a mixing bowl and use a whisk to combine. Add the garlic and cubed butter alternative to the bowl. Using a pastry cutter or two knives, cut it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles small peas and is well combined.

Add cheddar cheese, chives, and cayenne pepper to the bowl along with the plant-based milk and mix with a spoon until the dough is evenly wet. Do not overmix.

Using a ¼ cup scoop or a measuring cup, portion out biscuits onto a lined baking sheet. Bake 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
